Description
Road legal Z3 that has been modified for sprint and track day use; BC
coilover suspension; stainless steel sports exhaust
First
registered in October 1997, this BMW Z3 2.8i wide body has been specially
prepared for sprint, hill climb and track day use. The engine is the standard
190bhp straight-six mated to a 5-speed manual box which makes it good for 0-60
in 6.9 seconds with a top speed of 140mph in factory spec, although as this one
has been stripped out for racing it may well be slightly quicker than
that.
It
rides on 18” wheels shod with 225/45/18 tyres and has been fitted with BC Racing
adjustable coilover springs and shock absorbers, a rear spoiler, rear roll cage,
strut brace, stainless steel sports exhaust, Carco Type-R race seats and
harnesses plus various other racing goodies.
It
has covered 70,400 miles from new and has no real service history apart from an
invoice for a service in 2015 when it had covered 66,278 miles. Fully road
legal, it has an MOT until May 2024 with no advisories
recorded.
In
the current ownership since 2018, it has done one track day at Donnington Park
but has otherwise only been used as a fun road car. Said to be in fine fettle
mechanically, it has been starting promptly and running nicely as we have moved
it around on site. A real eye-catcher in its M-Sport livery, it is ready for
immediate use and could be further modified for competition purposes should the
new owner feel so inclined.
