Description
Up-together 3.0-litre Ghia with manual box and recent bills; genuine
reason for sale
Frist registered in October 1979, this Inca Gold
Capri was acquired by the vendor in 2019 to use and improve. Bills on file show
a new clutch fitted shortly after acquisition, along with a top and bottom end
gasket set and a bill for a set of standard V6 3.0-litre rings from Specialised
Engines Ltd - it looks clean and tidy under the bonnet.
The new owner
went through the car in some detail, adding a set of standard exhaust manifolds
and studs and new power steering pipes.
It had been presented for an MOT
a few months before he bought it, showing just one advisory for a slightly
binding osf brake, the mileage at that time showing an unsubstianted
62,210 miles. The odomenter currently reads, 62,296 miles, a sad reflection on
the rapid onset of rheumatoid arthritis which has meant the vendor reluctantly
has to let the car go.
The Capri has certainly had work done to the
bodywork in the past, and is more presentable than concours, but should
provide its new owner with a very solid base upon which to build a very smart
example indeed. The right model, in a good '70s colour scheme ready to
go.....
